Plant Health Care

The objective of PHC is to maintain and improve the landscape’s appearance, vitality, and safety using the most cost-effective and environmentally sensitive practices and treatments available. First, PHC involves monitoring tree and shrub health. This step allows problems to be detected and managed before they become serious. The monitoring may be as simple as annual visits to check on a few special trees in your landscape, or it may involve more frequent quarterly or monthly inspections of all your trees and shrubs. We have the experience and training to detect many potential tree and shrub problems before they become life threatening or hazardous. Our Certified Arborist is qualified to diagnose any disease, pest, or other disorder that may be affecting your trees and plants. Timber Tree Care uses an injection method which targets the vascular system, this process works more effectively and safer than traditional methods, i.e. spraying or root feeding. Problems we treat:Fertilization – Yellowing leaves often indicate a need for Iron and Manganese injection. The injection method quickly delivers the product to the tree. Trees with a caliper of 2inches or larger can be fertilized by our method. Insecticide – We treats a wide variety of insect problems. Some of these include but are not limited to; Woolly Adelgid, Aphids, Eastern Tent caterpillar, Leaf Minors, Fall Web Worm, and wood boring insects. Fungicide – We treat a wide variety of fungal disease. Some of these include but are not limited to; Maple, Dogwood, and Oak Anthracnose. Plant Growth Regulators (PGR) – A typical application will reduce the natural growth of the tree, reducing 3 years of growth in to 1 year. Ideal for large specimen trees planted to close to buildings, power lines, and urban environments. Addition benefit of PGR’s is energy redirected from canopy growth to root growth, creating a wealthier root structure. De-flowering Agent – Tired of raking up sweet gumballs, acorns, and/or pecans? A deflowering agent can reduce (fruit/nut) production by 60-80%.
